Hi there everyone,
Thanks for dropping by today. A slightly different post from me today. A couple of weeks ago it was my birthday and I had a lovely time. My husband managed to get tickets for us to go to Elstree studios to see a BBC quiz programme being made during the day and then in the evening I thought we were going out for a quiet meal together. Imagine my surprise when we arrived at the restaurant and all three of my (now grown up) children were there waiting for us.
We had such a lovely evening! But as well as that I thought I would show you a few of the lovely cards (and one present) that I received. I've also showcased them on the video below.
This first card was from my friend and fellow demo, Gez Carpenter who goes under the name of Nigezza Creates. I'm definitely going to CASE this card with different DSP!
Gez also sent me these lovely daisy earrings, made from some of our embellishments. Genius!
This card above was from my friend and ex work colleague, Ann. Absolutely beautiful.
And this one was from a very good friend and gym buddy. We have shared our love of crafting and particularly card making for many years.
I'm including this card, firstly because it is lovely and secondly because it has given me some ideas for cards I could make using Stampin' Up! products.
And this card was from my husband, and I love it. Very clean and simple, which is just my style. And no gushy sentiment - just a simple Happy Birthday in a great font. And again this card has given ideas for replication - using the Varied Vases bundle which will be available in a couple of days.
I'm including this card, from a friend I've known for 40 plus years, as it was so appropriate, as we had just returned from a family holiday in New York.
And lastly, this card, which was not a birthday card but a thank you from my son's girlfriend Sophie, for taking her with us to New York. A quilled Statue of Liberty! Some of you might know that I love quilling and have a shop over on Etsy selling my quilled cards so this card was so appropriate on so many levels!
If you'd like to see more of these cards (and hear more of my ramblings)you can watch my short video HERE or click on the image below:
