Another Christmas card - Mistletoe Season from Stampin Up!

Hi there everyone,

Do you ever have days when you rush around all day but still don't mange to get done everything you need to? Well that was me yesterday. I was so hoping to get one or two video tutorials made before I escaped for a few days away, but sadly completely ran out of time. The first card I was hoping to video was this one.

Mistletoe Season from Stampin' Up!

This card is made with a set from the Annual Catalogue called "Mistletoe Season". It's a lovely set and is available now - which means you can buy it while we still have the Bonus Days offer going on (Spend £45 in August, get a coupon for £4.50 to spend in September).

So buy now and get money off all the lovely new products in the Autimn/Winter catalogue (out on 5th September).  Here is the set in close up:

The DSP (patterned paper) is also in the Annual Catalogue, called Under the Mistletoe.

I promise I will be back early next week with the video tutorial but wanted to show you the card early in case you are tempted into placing a sneaky little order in August!

First look at Dashing Deer by Stampin' Up!

Hi there,

Today I am bringing you my first Christmas card for this year. Yes I know it is only August but every year I completely run out of time so I'm starting really early. Plus the new Autumn/Winter catalogue will be out next Wednesday (5th) and then you can be sure there will be Christmas projects everywhere!

So today I am showing you the first card I have made with the Dashing Deer die set.

Dashing Deer by Stampin Up

A very simple little card to kick us off. A Crumb Cake card base, a strip of DSP (patterned paper) from the Under the Mistletoe pack and that gorgeous deer die cut in gold foil. I then used the separate "MERRY" and "CHRISTMAS" words from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set stamped in Real Red onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

The Dashing Deer die set (and matching stamp set) have so many possibilities I can't wait to show you what else I have been making. Did you catch my video showcasing these products? If not, you can watch it HERE or click below:

Have you received your catalogue from me yet? If not, let me know and I'll pop one in the post.

Back tomorrow with another Christmas project and a video tutorioal (time permitting!),

Up and Away Rainbow Hot Air Balloon - video tutorial

Hi everyone,

As promised, I'm back today to share with you my video tutorial to show how I made the hot air balloon card I posted yesterday.

Up and Away from Stampin' Up!

When making the card for the video, I decided to change the colours to something more within my comfort zone. As you might know (!), I love a rainbow so I used a selection of colours from the Brights collection.

Up and Away from Stampin' Up!

The colours I used are Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Daffodil Yellow, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana (or was that last colour Bermuda Bay? Need to watch the video to find jog my memory!)

So if you'd like to see the video tutorial, just click HERE

Can you spot my "fix" for the inky mistake I made on the card on the video? Clever eh?

There are not many measurements needed for this card - the card blank is the size I use most of the time: 21cm x 15cm, scored at 10.5cm (or 8 1/4" x 6" scored at 4 1/8"). And the Pool Party panel measures 14.5cm x 5.5cm (or in Imperial, 5 3/4" x 2 1/4").

Back soon with another project - lots of Christmas cards etc to show you - so exciting!
