Hi everyone,
Did you catch my blog yesterday where I showed you this card?
To make the greeting I used the Well Written set of dies.
I know it is not easy to see from the photo above, because all the dies are back to front. But if you look closely you will see that there is no "congrats". So how did I do it, you may be asking!
Well, I saw, that although there's no "congrats", all the letters needed to make the word are there in other words. So I took the "co" from "welcome", the "n" from "thanks, the "gr" from "groom", the "at" and the "s" from "sympathy". Tada!!! There you have it - a die cut "congrats".
Then I started thinking about what other words I could made and decided it would be good to see which letters of the alphabet are available. The results really surprised me - nearly all the letters of the alphabet are there - the only ones missing are "j", "q", "x" and "z" - and not many words need one of those!
This given me so many ideas of additional ways to use these dies, including personalising projects with names!
I hope you will find this tip helpful in your crafting. Makes the "Well Written" dies even more versatile and a set that everyone should have in their stash!
Thanks for sharing this great way to make more words!!! GlendaJ
