Hi everyone,
Welcome to the next instalment in my Card Making for Beginners 2020 series and today I have another project using another super easy technique to make your ink pads go even further. The technique we are using today is called "stamping off" and basically means that instead of re inking a stamp every time you use it, you use it repeatedly to get different strengths of image. You can see what I mean in this photo:
So as you can see rather than getting just one colour from each ink pad, you can actually get at least 5 and up to 7! Admittedly they are all tones of the the same colour but they can add so much variation to your designs.
I made a series of cards to show you the different effects that you can easily achieve.
This first card is made just by inking and stamping (no stamping off) - ie #simplestamping
I then made the same card but for some of the images I tried stamping off to get second generation images.
And lastly I did the same design again but this time used stamping off for the whole design. As you can see the colours are much less strong and vibrant.
As usual I have made a video showing you this technique in detail. You can watch it by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.
I hope you found today's post interesting any helpful. Do let me now if you have any questions or I can help in any way! I'll be back next Tuesday with another post in my beginners series. Don't miss it!
