#6 Card Making For Beginners - Two Step Stamping

Hello,

Welcome to my blog today and to Part 6 of my Card Making For Beginners course. Today we are looking at another stamping technique that is great for beginners and will take your stamping to another level. Here is the card we will be making today, using the lovely Inspiring Iris set and this fabulous technique.

And here is the stamp set I used.

As you can see, this stamp set has two types images - outlines and infills. This is what forms the basis of most two step stamping. So to create one image there are two steps - stamp the outline, and then stamp the infill over the stamped image. Often the outline is stamped in Memento Black or a grey (Gray Granite, Smoky Slate or Basic Gray) or something else fairly neutral. Then the infills can be stamped in the colours you want for the final image.

Of course, I have a video for you, to show this technique in action. You can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

Just before I go, I thought I'd show you a few other cards I've made with the same stamp set, using Two Step Stamping.

I do hope I have inspired you to have a go at this technique. If you are a beginner (or if you are not!) and have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I will be more than happy to help you if I can.
I'll be back next Tuesday with the next "episode" in my beginners course - do join me then!

Meanwhile, have a great day,
