Hi everyone,
Some of you who have been following me for a while might remember how much I loved the Small Bloom Punch when it was first released as a FREE item during Saleabration in January.
I was so happy to see it back in the Annual Catalogue and my love for it is undiminished! So when I needed three special birthday cards for three special people recently - my sister, my sister-in-law and my youngest daughter, I turned once again to this little punch. I know that they all love a clean and simple card as much as me so my mission was clear. Here is the first card I came up with.
I started with a Soft Sea Foam card blank and then layered another mat of Soft Sea Foam which I had embossed with the new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays.
I used the sentiment in the top left corner but not before I had cut it apart so that it just said Happy Birthday. If I want it to be a belated birthday greeting, I can easily place the pieces back together on a block.
The little sprigs of foliage were cut with a die from the Butterfly Beauty set of dies.
Once I'd made this card (for my sister in law), I decided to make another one in mostly whites for my sister.
I think I prefer this one - not quite pure white on white, but nearly!
Pop back tomorrow if you'd like to see my video tutorial of how I made this card. I'll show you how I made the same design card for my youngest daughter Annie, whose birthday was yesterday. She is into much brighter colours so what colours do you think I used?
