Joy of Sets August blog hop - Fonts

Hi everyone,
The second weekend of the month is always a busy one for me as there are several blog hops happening. This is my second one of three this weekend. So welcome to the Joy of Sets blog hop for August and the theme for this month is "Fonts" - or to give it its full title - "Reading is Fonts-amental". I hope you have joined me after seeing the fabulous project designed by JoAnn Pollock.

This theme is right up my street as I love a bit of typography! However the project I have decided to share with  you today uses very plain and simple font - just plain old capital letters - cut out with the Playful Alphabet dies from Stampin' Up!. But I have made something rather special with them.
Yes, this is a new sign for my craft room door. I have left it just at "Paper Daisy" as I have several businesses using my brand name - Paper Daisy Crafting, Paper Daisy Cards and Paper Daisy Cards 2 - and this means it is appropriate for all three!
I have combined several things from my signature style in this plaque - first of all, of course, it is a very clean and simple design. Secondly the letters are cut out of card stock in a rainbow of colours. If you have followed me for a while you will know that rainbow colours often feature in my projects. And thirdly, there are of course daisies! They are punched out with a craft punch which makes them very quick and easy to make!
I mounted the letters on foam tape to give them some dimension. I have since bought some foam sheets which I think might work better! And I curled the petals of the daisies a little with my bone folder to make them a bit more life like.
I hunted around the house for a frame to put this in. This one is a bit battered and not quite right so I will buy a new one in time.

Thank you for dropping in to see me today. I do hope you enjoyed seeing my project. Please do keep hopping around the other blogs - you don't want to miss any of the amazing projects!

Next up is my friend and fellow SU demo, Gez Carpenter. Always a treat to see what Gez has been making - she never fails to delight!

I've also included the whole blog roll, just in case you get lost at any point. Happy hopping - see you back here next month!
