Hi there everyone,
Welcome to Week 12 of my Card Making for Beginners series. Today I have another simple technique for you to use with your stamping. This technique is masking. There are several versions of masking but this one is one of the easiest - I have just used a strip of low tack paper (Post It tape) to mask off part of my card while I stamp. When the tape is removed, there is a blank white space where the tape has been. Let me show you what I mean. Here is the card:
Here is the first card I made. The blank space is not so obvious or effective as the stamping was too sparse and I think the sentiment was too big.
Of course, the best way to learn all about this technique is to watch my video tutorial, which you can do by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:
I've been receiving a lot of complimentary comments about this series for beginners and I am so pleased it is helping some people to start a new hobby. I would love to see some of your first makes if you are brave enough to share them. Just email me at jilldchapman@gmail.com.
Back next Tuesday with the next episode!!
