Hi everyone,
Welcome to the October blog hop for Joy of Sets where our theme for this month is Harvest time. I hope you have hopped here from Susan Webster but if not there is a complete blog roll at the bottom of this post so you can pick up the trail!
This theme had me scratching my head a bit. For me, harvest means harvesting the wheat, collecting pumpkins or maybe baskets overflowing with apples. I have no images of any of those in my quite extensive stamp set collection. So instead I turned to the colours of harvest - muted shades of yellow, orange, brown...... And here is the card that I produced.
My colours, from the left, are Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Cider and Mango Melody. The daisies in yellows and orange were stamped with the coordinating ink colours. The browns were stamped with Versamark.
The daisies were punched out with the Medium Daisy punch from Stampin' Up! I love this punch so much, and not just because of my brand name (Paper Daisy!). The centres of the daisies were stamped and die cut with the Arrange a Wreath bundle. And the leaves are die cut in gold foil with dies from the Magnolia Memory die set.
So I hope you like my card and that it fits the theme appropriately! I will be back soon with a video tutorial so please join me for that. Do keep hopping around the blog hop - there are more amazing projects in store for you. Next up is Rebecca-Jo Unwin.
