InspireInk November Blog Hop - CHRISTMAS!!

Hi everyone and welcome to this month's InspireInk blog Hop. Our theme for this month is, of course, Christmas! I've had these little guys sitting on my desk this week so thought it was perfect to share them here.

I was inspired by a project I saw online where the designer had used one of the dies from Curvy Dies set to make her tree. I don't have those dies (yet!) so I had to think creatively.  I used one of the dies from the Ornate Frames dies - the top one in this photo.

I cut strips of card with the border die in Old Olive, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White and layered them up together, before using one of the largest dies from the Stitched Triangles set as a template to cut them into a tree shape.
On the one below I die cut the star at the top and the tiny gold stars from Gold Foil with the Stitched Stars die set.

It does take a while to cut out all those little stars so for the second one I found a quicker solution - our Red Rhinestones.

I originally intended to send these as Christmas cards but they are quite small - only 4.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. So I had a thought that they might make lovely place names for the the Christmas lunch table (always assuming we are allowed to gather together). Names could be written on the lowest Whisper White layer, instead of adding embellishments to that bit, which would look fab I think!

Hope you like my project. I'll be bringing you a video to show you how I made it very soon so please come back to see that. Meanwhile do keep hopping around all of the other links. Lots of festive inspiration for you! Just click on the blue box below to see the links to all the blogs taking part.
