Hi everyone,
Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me.
Today I am bringing you a card which was inspired by a design I have made over the past two years and is still one of my favourites. Rainbow trees!! Here is today's card, made using the Coming Home stamp set and Home Together dies (both of which will be retiring on January 4th):
The sentiment is taken from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set. I have actually cut it apart from the rest of the stamp, which is very tricky to do and not for the fainted hearted! Not entirely successful but good enough and I love that "Merry Christmas" on its own. The other options would be using Stampin' Markers to colour just that part of the stamp, masking off the unwanted parts of the stamp or stamping the whole sentiment and cutting out the part that is needed.
I thought I would show the cards that inspired today's design. Here is the first version I made.
And then last year I made two other versions using Perfectly Plaid and the Pine Tree punch.
Anyway back to today's card. If you'd like to watch my video tutorial showing how to make it, you can CLICK HERE or on the image below.
As you'll see, I changed the colours on the video. I decided to go with an assortment of greens. What do you think?
