HAPPY birthday card - clean and simple!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. I'm sad to say I am still chasing my tail this week (so what's new??) but I do have a new project to show you. It is my sister in law's birthday on 28th of this month and I always like to come up with a new card design for her, partly because she follows all my social media and sees everything I've made, but also because she loves a handmade card and is particularly fond of my signature style of clean and simple. She doesn't though, follow my blog, so I am safe to post it here.

I have used the "HAPPY' dies from the appropriately named set "Happy dies" as the star of my card. I absolutely love this die. I have used it on several other cards and never get tired of it. 

As I wanted to include her name, I printed the rest of the sentiment for this card but I have made another version where I have stamped the sentiment too. You'll have to wait til Friday to see that one!

To try out my design I tried several different colour ways including a rainbow one (of course) but opted for this colour scheme of Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana for Nicki as it seemed a bit more feminine. 

Here is a close up of the die cut so that you can see how I inlaid different coloured pieces between the letters.
