Stamp Around UK Video Hop - Favourite DSP (patterned paper)

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. As it is the first day of the month today (Happy St David's Day!) it is time for another video hop with the Stamp Around UK crew. Every month, a group of us UK demos, get together and publish a whole series of video tutorials, showing you how to make beautiful paper craft projects. Each month we have a theme and for this month it is our Favourite DSP. For the uninitiated, DSP stands for Designer Series Paper and is Stampin' Up!'s name for printed patterned papers. We have so many pretty papers in our current catalogues it is difficult to choose but in the end I opted for some "speciality" foiled papers - Love You Always foiled papers.

I decided to use these papers, with the coordinating foils and card stock to make a stack of two gift boxes.

The Blushing Bride box is the largest one. I'll give you the measurements below. I had already made this box, prior to recording the video.

It is quite a roomy box - I think I will pop some posh chocolates in it before gifting it to some deserving person - maybe my sister!

The Sahara Sand box is the one I make on the video. The box is much prettier in real life than in these photos.

I recalculated the measurements for this one to fit a tub of Body Shop Hand Butter - seems an appropriate gift at the moment with all the had washing we are doing!

When I had made both boxes, I tied them together with a length of Metallic Blushing Bride ribbon.

I would have made another smaller box, in the Rococo Rose papers but I had completely run out of Rococo Rose crd stock so that will have to wait for another day.

For those of you who would like the measurements, here they are:
