Hi everyone,
Welcome to my blog today. Another blog hop for me today - the Stamping Inkspirations April Blog Hop.
Our theme for this month is "Birthdays" - so many possibilities with this theme!
Today, here on my blog and on Facebook I have been showcasing cards made with the "Family Party" stamp set which is great for making milestone birthday cards (and any others!). I am typing this up a few days before it goes live, but if all goes to plan, earlier today I will have done a Facebook Live, showing a couple more of my cards in this series.
This stamp set will be retiring very soon - at the beginning of May - and is currently only available while stocks last - so if it is one you would like to add to your collection, my advice is to purchase it sooner rather than later - or later might be too late! I would hate for you to miss out.
Anyway onto my card. A friend asked me to make a card for her daughter's 30th birthday. I know that she is not really pink and fluffy sort of girl, hence my colour choices of Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point. The stamp set makes it super simple to make personalised cards for anyone and any birthday. And I love how all the individual words make it easy to make a multicoloured message.
I also love those two step gift images - so easy to do - just stamp the ribbon/dots stamp first and then overlay the squareish stamp in the same colour, after stamping it off once. On this card I have cut out a second square part and mounted it on dimensionals.
The DSP I have used is also retiring - it is from the Subtles 6" x 6" pack -in Balmy Blue. I find these DSP family stacks so useful and have used them a lot!
I added just a little bit of decoration inside too.
I hope my card might have inspired you. I'll be back soon with a video tutorial so please come back to see that. You can sign up for email notifications every time I post on the right of this page.
Meanwhile please keep hopping around our hop - there are so many fabulous projects for you to see. Next up is Rochelle Laird-Smith
