Pansy Petals DSP card with ombre background Video Tutorial

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today is Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK - do you have any exciting plans? We are having a very chilled day with hopefully some time for crafting for me!

On Saturday I took part in a blog hop showcasing new products. I used the Pansy Petals DSP as my focus.

This is the card from the blog post:

This is the card I made on the video, using Soft Succulent as the ombre background:

And I then decided to make another, using Fresh Freesia as the ombre background:

If you'd like to see how I made this card you can watch my video by CLICKING HERE or on the image below. Hope you enjoy it!

Ink Stamp Share May Blog Hop - Something New

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am taking part in the Ink Stamp Share blog hop for May.

Our theme for this month is "Something New" so a chance to play with all the fabulous new products we have bought from the Annual Catalogue. I decided to showcase the lovely Pansy Petals DSP (patterned papers). Very little stamping here. I simply fussy cut some of the images from the paper.

There are actually dies in the die set ( Pansy dies) which will cut out these images but I don't have the dies (yet!) so I fussy cut. It was fairly easy to do though and didn't take long as I only needed four different images. Here is a close up of the pansies.

The Pale Papaya gingham is paper is another design from the same pack. And how do you like my Evening Evergreen ombre background?

I actually cut up one of our Ombre Gift Bags to use for this!

Hope you like my card. There are loads more inspirational projects for you to see so please do keep hopping. Next up is Kim Price who I know will have something amazing for you to see.

Here is the complete list, in case you get lost!

Have fun hopping. Bye for now, back soon,

50% discounts on Last Chance products from the Spring Mini catalogue

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Did you realise that the Spring Mini catalogue will be retiring soon?

The official end date for this catalogue is June 30th, but a few days ago Stampin' Up! released the list of all retiring products - the ones that have not been carried over into the Annual Catalogue. Usually there are a few bargains to be had but this time there are a LOT of 50% discounts which you won't want to miss. The discounts will come into effect on 1st June, and if the past is anything to go by, products will sell out FAST. I have listed some of my favourites below - all of my picks have a 50% discount so will be half the price shown - how great is that?

Always Dies
[154307]
£31.00
Curvy Dies
[154319]
£27.00

I have recorded a video going through the whole catalogue, showing all the retiring items and highlighting all those with a BIG discount. If you'd like to watch you do so by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

If you'd like to take a look at the complete list of retiring products CLICK HERE.

While I am here, I just wanted to let you know about a couple of other heavily discounted products. There are a couple of kits currently on the Clearance Rack (so available now - no need to wait for June 1st) which have been reduced down from £20 to £5. Yes, only £5.00. These kits were good value for money at £20 but at £5 they are absolutely amazing value. Although the thumbnails below sow a £20 price, they are already on sale for £5.

If you'd like to see more about the Joy to the World kit, you can read my original blog post HERE. Here are a few of the cards I made with the kit:

I will be placing an order as soon as I can on 1st June. If there's anything you'd like me to add to my order for you just let me know by lunchtime on Monday. I can ship your order to you at a cheaper rate than the standard shipping from Stampin Up - the most would be £3.00. The only downside is that it is not possible to add my Monthly Shopping code to these orders so I won't be able to send a free product gift. But just email me with details of your order if you interested - jilldchapman@gmail.com.
