Beautifully Penned cards for Jill and Gez Live Crafting

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, being the first Saturday of the month it was time once again for Gez and I to do our Live Crafting session over in our Facebook group - Come Crafting with Jill and Gez. Do feel free to come on over and join us for next time. To find our group just CLICK HERE. 

Our theme for this month was Saleabration - we are both using products which can be earned FREE with any order of £45. Do get in touch if you need more info or would like a copy of the Saleabration brochure. Fo my projects I decided to use the Beautifully Penned papers - lovely black and white papers which coordinate with the Hand Penned bundle from the Annual Catalogue. 

I used the second sheet from the image above and fussy cut one of the clusters of flowers, to which I then added some extra leaves from a stamp in the Hand Penned set.

I then mounted them on one of the Tailor Made tags - half white and half black with a white heat embossed "thanks" at the bottom. 

I then mounted the tag onto another design from the Beautifully Designed pack which was overlaid with a sheet of Shimmer Vellum in a co-ordinatiing colour - Pale Papaya. The design was then completed with a scattering of In Color Jewels.

The first card I made was in Fresh Freesia. As this was my first time working with the Shimmer Vellum I was a bit concerned about what to use to secure it down as some adhesive tend to show through vellum. I decided to use Stampin' Seal+ but on the first card used it quite sparingly. But it didn't show through at all - Great result!!

However as you can see I didn't use enough to secure the vellum down in enough places and it has buckled a bit. I used more on the next card and got a much better result.
