Paper Daisy Crafting: How to use the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to win one of our Pootler team challenges and the prize was to choose any bundle of my choice. I chose the Merriest Moments bundle.

This is such a great bundle - a stamp set, a die set AND an embossing folder. The embossing folder is called a "hybrid" embossing folder and today I thought I would show you what that means. It can be used in several different ways to achieve different effects.

Firstly it can be used just like any other embossing folder to emboss a panel of card stock. Here I have done it in two colours so you can really see the effect - in Very Vanilla:

Isn't that embossing great - so detailed and pretty. And I love the panel in the centre to add whatever message you like.

Here it is in Old Olive.

Next, you can use the embossing folder together at the same time as the outline die and this is the result. Again in Very Vanilla.....

And in Old Olive.

And lastly you can use the embossing folder along with the detailed outline die to get this intricately cut, embossed image.

It is slightly trickier to get this effect but I demonstrate it all in the video, below.
