Share It Sunday blog post

Welcome to my blog. Today it is once again time for the Share It Sunday blog hop. Maybe you have already been hopping around some of the other links?

For this blog hop we do not have a specific theme but it is an opportunity for us to show you a recent project we have been working on. My card is one I came up with a few days ago. I had been making another card with a mask, the blending brushes and the Brilliant Wings dies (see that blog post HERE) so these were all still out on my desk. 

The masks and the blending brushes make creating beautiful backgrounds so easy - have you tried it yet? You really should!

I love how the Stitched Rectangle dies can be used to create a frame for the design.

And those Brilliant Wings dies are just fab - so many different sizes and designs - there is always one that is appropriate for any project.

Customer Thank You Pop Out cards

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. I've just realised that I haven't yet showed you the customer thank you cards I sent out this month to everyone who shopped with me in September. I made some of these cards at our team craft weekend back in September. They were one of our Make 'n' Take projects, designed by Donna Lester who is Taffy Crafting online. You can see her post about them HERE. I then made a whole batch more of these on my return. I used the You're A Peach pack so there were several different designs.

I used a greeting from Color and Contour and dies from the Scalloped Contour dies for the sentiment. 

Inside there was a bit of a surprise, with a pop out panel.

The Project Share Project - October 28th

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. Today I have chosen three wonderful projects for you, beginning with Verity of Inky Butterfly who has used the Merriest Moments bundle, with the lovely hybrid embossing folder to make this great card.

You're Absolutely Amazing card with Encircled in Beauty dies

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. I'm so excited to bring this card to you today as it was made for a very special achievement.

Some of you may have heard me talking about my youngest daughter, Annie, on some of my videos. Her dream, since she was very small, has been to be on the stage, acting, dancing and singing. She has worked so hard for this and has been rejected at auditions so many times. I have no idea how she has had the resilience to keep getting up, brushing herself off and doing it all again. And the great news this week is that she has finally been offered her first professional job. She has been offered a part in a production which will be touring around the UK from January to August next year. To say I am so, so proud of her is such an understatement.

Of course I needed a special card to mark this occasion. I used the sentiment from the Color and Contour set and a die from the Encircled in Beauty die set. 

Here are both the cards I made. The Highland Heather one will be the one I send to Annie - purple is her favourite colour. The Polished Pink one will be in my stash waiting for another occasion when it is needed!
